Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts has a special program
for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and we were fortunate to tour the campus
with one of our new Deaf Chinese friends, an art major at the academy. Another student we met is majoring in fashion
design. The campus is in an artists’
district and the streets nearby feature several imaginative sculptures and
